Chrome Extension
Select a phone number on any website and send it a WhatsApp template or free-form message — text, media, or interactive — right from the page.
What you can do
- Highlight a phone number on any web page (or use the toolbar) and message it on WhatsApp.
- Send approved templates with variables and header media.
- Send free-form text, image, document, or interactive (buttons / list / CTA) messages.
- Upload media and choose which of your WhatsApp numbers to send from.
- Add Customer — create or update a CRM contact from details on the page, using your own custom fields.
Every send is logged in your dashboard and appears in Live Chat like any other outbound message.
Prerequisites
- A MotherBot account with at least one connected WhatsApp number.
- A plan that includes the Chrome Extension integration.
- Google Chrome (or any Chromium browser that supports Chrome Web Store extensions).
Step 1 — Generate your access token

Open the integration
Go to Dashboard → Integrations → Chrome Extension and click Connect.

Copy the token
A one-time token starting with
cext_ is shown. Copy it now — it's displayed only once. Rotate it any time from the same card.Step 2 — Install the extension

Add to Chrome
Click Add to Chrome on the integration card to open the Chrome Web Store listing, then install.

Open connection settings
Click the MotherBot extension icon → Connection settings.

Connect
Paste your Server URL (
https://motherbot.io) and the cext_ token, then Save.Step 3 — Send a message

Pick a number
Select a phone number on any page and choose Send WhatsApp message from the right-click menu, or click the toolbar icon and paste one or more numbers.

Compose
Choose a template (with variables and optional header media) or a free-form message. A live banner tells you whether the contact is inside the 24-hour window.

Send
The composer shows a per-number result — sent, failed, or skipped.
Warning
Free-form (non-template) messages can only reach contacts who messaged you in the last 24 hours. Outside that window, use an approved template.
Admin controls
Controlled from the dashboard card — no reinstall needed:
- Enable/disable templates, free-form, uploads, multi-number send, and Add Customer.
- Set a daily send limit and max numbers per send.
- Set a default country code and restrict which WhatsApp numbers and template categories are allowed.
Tip
Downgrading to a plan without the extension instantly revokes the token — sending stops until you reconnect on an eligible plan.
