WordPress Plugin
A click-to-chat widget, WhatsApp lead capture from your forms, WhatsApp OTP login, and one-click WooCommerce cart recovery — all from your WordPress site.
What it does
- Click-to-chat widget — a floating WhatsApp button on every page.
- Lead capture — auto-message and save leads from Contact Form 7, WPForms, Gravity Forms, Elementor Pro, Ninja Forms, Formidable, comments, and user registration.
- WhatsApp OTP — passwordless login / verification via WhatsApp one-time codes.
- One-click WooCommerce connect — links your store for order and abandoned-cart automations, plus live cart capture at checkout.
Prerequisites
- A MotherBot account with a connected WhatsApp number.
- A plan that includes the WordPress integration.
- A self-hosted WordPress site (wp-admin access).
Step 1 — Generate your site token
1
Open the integration
Go to Dashboard → Integrations → WordPress and click Connect.
2
Copy the token
Copy the one-time site token starting with
wpk_ (shown once; rotate any time).Step 2 — Install the plugin
1
Upload
In wp-admin: Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose
motherbot-wordpress.zip, and Install.2
Activate & connect
Activate the plugin, open MotherBot in the wp-admin menu, and paste your Server URL (
https://motherbot.io) and wpk_ token.Step 3 — Configure features
1
Chat widget
Enable the click-to-chat widget and pick your number, greeting, and position.
2
Lead capture
Turn on capture for the form plugins you use. Map each form's fields, and choose the approved template sent as the auto-reply. Keep Require consent on.
3
WhatsApp OTP (optional)
Enable OTP for login/registration and select the authentication template used to deliver codes.
4
WooCommerce (optional)
If you run WooCommerce, click Connect WooCommerce. This links your store to the order and cart-recovery automations — see the WooCommerce guide.
Warning
Lead auto-replies, staff alerts, and OTP codes must use approved templates — a visitor who just filled a form has never messaged you, so the 24-hour window is closed and Meta rejects free-form messages. Keep consent enabled; messaging a non-opted-in form-filler risks your WABA number being banned.
Tip
The plugin captures the live cart the moment a shopper types their phone at checkout — this is what gives WooCommerce true Shopify-parity abandoned-cart recovery, since WooCommerce has no cart object over its REST API.
