Integrations

WooCommerce Integration

Recover abandoned checkouts, confirm COD orders, send order and shipping updates, and win customers back — all on WhatsApp, automatically.

Automations included

  • Abandoned-checkout recovery — a timed sequence with the order's payment link.
  • COD confirmation — ask the customer to confirm a cash-on-delivery order via reply buttons.
  • Order confirmed & shipped — lifecycle updates as the order status changes.
  • Payment-failed recovery — reach out when a payment is declined but items are still reserved.
  • Win-back & back-in-stock — re-engage past buyers and notify waitlisted shoppers.
  • Coupons that redeem at checkout — send a code on WhatsApp and it's created inside WooCommerce, with the orders it brings in tracked back to it.

Prerequisites

  • A MotherBot account with a connected WhatsApp number.
  • A plan that includes the WooCommerce integration.
  • A WooCommerce store (WordPress) with admin access.

Step 1 — Connect your store

The simplest path is the MotherBot WordPress plugin — one click links the store and enables live cart capture.

1

Via the WordPress plugin (recommended)

Install the plugin (see the WordPress guide) and click Connect WooCommerce. It writes a revocable REST key into your store and links it to MotherBot automatically.
2

Or connect manually

In your MotherBot dashboard go to Integrations → WooCommerce → Connect and enter your store URL plus a WooCommerce REST API Consumer Key/Secret (WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → REST API, with Read/Write access).

Step 2 — Approve the message templates

1

Why templates are required

Cart, COD, order, and win-back messages go to shoppers who haven't messaged you, so they must be pre-approved templates (Meta only allows free-form text inside the 24-hour window).
2

Submit the store templates

MotherBot ships a ready set of store templates (order confirmation, abandoned cart, COD confirm, shipped, win-back, back-in-stock). Submit them for approval under Templates. Approval is per WhatsApp number.

Step 3 — Turn on automations

1

Open the automations panel

Go to Integrations → WooCommerce and open the automations settings.
2

Enable and tune

Switch on the automations you want and configure timing, discount coupons, quiet hours, per-contact daily caps, and opt-out handling.

Step 4 — Make your coupons work at checkout

1

Create the coupon

Go to Grow → Coupons → New coupon, set the discount, expiry and caps, then tick Make it work at my checkout and choose your WooCommerce store. The same code is created inside WooCommerce, carrying across your expiry, usage limits, per-customer limit and minimum spend.
2

Use Send on the coupon to reach a tag or a saved segment. A promotional code has to travel inside an approved template, so pick the template and which {{n}} variable carries the code. A chatbot can hand one out mid-conversation too, with the Give a Coupon node.
3

Watch the redemptions come back

When a shopper checks out with the code, the order webhook records it against the coupon, the contact and the order — including what the order was worth. Open See orders on the coupon card to read the list.

Tip

A unique coupon mints a separate single-use code in WooCommerce for each person, at the moment it is sent to them — so nothing appears in your store until you actually send it. If WooCommerce refuses to create a code, that recipient is not messaged: handing someone a code their checkout rejects costs you the sale and a support conversation.

Warning

Turning a coupon off removes its codes from WooCommerce. Woo’s expiry date has no time component, so “expire it now” would really mean “still valid until midnight” — deleting is the only way off means off. A code that already existed in your store when you synced is adopted, never deleted.

Tip

WooCommerce has no cart object over REST, so an "abandoned checkout" is an unpaid order and its payment URL is the recovery link. For recovery on carts abandoned before the final step, install the WordPress plugin — it captures the live cart the moment a shopper types their phone.

Warning

A COD order that's still pending is not treated as abandoned (COD never pays online). Only genuinely unpaid prepaid checkouts enter the recovery flow.
