The best WhatsApp automation for online stores: carts, COD and order updates
For an Indian online store, the best WhatsApp automation recovers abandoned carts, confirms COD orders before they ship, keeps shoppers posted from order to delivery, and sends coupons that actually work at checkout. MotherBot connects to Shopify and WooCommerce and does all four, with quiet hours and daily limits so no shopper is messaged too often.
Updated 27 October 2026. Competitor prices quoted from each vendor’s own pricing page, checked 3 September 2026.

We make MotherBot, so it’s first on our own list — read it knowing that. To keep it fair, every competitor figure is quoted from that company’s own page, “Not published” means they don’t say (not that they can’t), and each card names where the tool is weaker, ours included.
What to look for
01
A cart recovery ladder
Two or three reminders, each with its own delay, message and optional discount — stopping the moment the shopper buys.
02
COD confirmation
Confirm or Cancel buttons before you ship, so fake and doubtful COD orders never leave the warehouse.
03
The whole order journey
Confirmed, shipped, out for delivery, delivered and refunded, without anyone pressing send.
04
Coupons that redeem
A code sent on WhatsApp should exist in your store's checkout — and the orders it brings in should be tracked back.
05
Limits that protect your number
Quiet hours, a daily cap per shopper and automatic opt-out, so automation never turns into spam.
06
Selling inside the chat
A product catalogue, carts sent in WhatsApp, payment links and AI that finds the right product.

Five automations every store should switch on
These pay back fastest for most Indian D2C brands, roughly in this order.
COD confirmation. Ask before you ship. Every cancelled fake order is a return you don't pay for.
Abandoned cart recovery. A reminder within the hour, a second the next day, a small discount on the last.
Order and shipping updates. Fewer 'where is my order' calls, and a reason for shoppers to save your number.
Review request. A few days after delivery, while the product is new.
Win-back. An offer for customers who haven't ordered in a few months.
Is it allowed to message shoppers automatically?
Yes, on the official WhatsApp Business API, with approved templates, to shoppers who agreed to hear from you — usually a tick box at checkout. Cart and COD messages go to people who haven't written to you first, so they must be templates; free text is only allowed inside the 24-hour window after a shopper's message.
Meta charges per delivered message and bills your own WhatsApp Business Account. Order and COD updates are utility messages, which cost far less than marketing; cart reminders and offers are marketing. Our WhatsApp rates page lists the current prices.
