Free WhatsApp messaging tools for business — and what “free” really covers
No tool can make the WhatsApp messages themselves free. On the official API, Meta charges your own account for every marketing message, and for replies after the first 1,000 a month on each number. What can be free is the software. MotherBot's plan is free forever — no card, nothing expires — and its full limits are listed below.

What to look for

It uses the official API
Free 'bulk sender' apps and browser extensions drive the normal WhatsApp app. WhatsApp bans numbers that use them.

Free forever, not a trial
A 7- or 14-day trial isn't a free tool. Check that nothing expires.

The contact limit
Some free plans stop at 25 or 500 contacts — fine for a test, not for a business.

No markup on messages
A free plan that adds a fee to every message isn't free once you send in bulk.

The completely free option: the WhatsApp Business app
Meta's WhatsApp Business app costs nothing and is the right start for one person on one phone. It has a business profile, a catalogue, quick replies, labels, and greeting and away messages.
Its broadcast lists only reach people who have saved your number, there's no chatbot beyond the greeting, and only you (plus a few linked devices) can reply. When you outgrow that, you need the API — and your number can keep the app on your phone at the same time.
Why free bulk senders get numbers banned
Most tools sold as a 'free WhatsApp bulk sender' — desktop software and browser extensions — work by controlling the normal WhatsApp app and pretending to be you typing. That breaks WhatsApp's rules, and WhatsApp bans numbers it catches, often permanently and with the chat history.
The safe route is the official WhatsApp Business API with approved templates, sent to people who agreed to hear from you. The software can be free; Meta's message charge is the real cost, and it's billed to your own WhatsApp account.
