Will it create duplicate records in my CRM?

No. Contacts are matched on phone number first, so a customer who already exists is updated rather than duplicated. Where a match is ambiguous you get a flag to review instead of a silent merge — merging two people who are not the same person is far worse than briefly holding two records.
